2009 Ninfa Escolha red
From clay-limestone soils, surrounded by a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, this Ninfa Escolha red wine is produced from Aragonês, Syrah, and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. On the nose, it reveals complex ripe fruit aromas and on the palate an excellent structure with marked tannins and a long finish.
João Teodósio Matos Barbosa, grandson of the founder of Caves Dom Teodósio, started his project in the production of wines, according to a regime of low intervention and organic production, with the introduction of new grape varieties and new blends.
Acquiring properties in the Tejo and Alto Alentejo regions, his legacy has been expanding with organic wines that are authentic and faithful to their terroir.
