The Quinta de Chocapalha, is located in Aldeia Galega, in Alenquer, in the Lisbon Region. Although we know it as a rather young producer in terms of bottled wines, the records of this farm date back to the 16th Century, at the time of the Reign of D. João VI. The destinies of this secular estate changed radically when it was acquired by the Tavares da Silva family in the 1980s.

The family invested heavily in the vineyard and the conditions for winemaking, with the sole objective of achieving maximum quality wines and maintaining the reputation with which this estate has always been associated.

In its 45 hectares of vineyards, the Quinta produces whites and reds, from national varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, or Arinto, and international ones such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Its wines are indeed among the best in the region and are a delight at the table.
