Sovibor results from the merger of two small producers who, many years before 1968, started their activities and later created the firms Manuel Joaquim Mira and Domingos Luiz Pinto & Filho, Lda. Therefore, Sovibor is managed by people traditionally linked to the wine industry.

Sovibor is located in Borba, in the Alentejo, and although it is equipped with the most modern technology for the production of quality wines, it still has an old and beautiful aging cellar, with about 3,000 hectolitres in wooden barrels.
